Announcing the 2014 ECE Conference Speakers

The 2014 ECE Design Conference is approaching quickly so don’t forget to  mark your calendars for Friday, October 24, 2014, Auraria Campus, Denver, Colorado – there is still time to receive a discounted rate! Register before October 2, to receive the early bird rate.

We are pleased to announce this year’s keynote speaker:  Dr. John Ratey!  The bestselling author of the highly influential book “Spark:  The Revolutionary New Science of Exercise and the Brain.”

Dr. Ratey will demonstrate the important connection of movement to enhanced learning.

The keynote will be followed by a session from the School Principal of Red Hawk Elementary, Cyrus Weinberger, illustrating how he applied many of the principles found in Spark to his curriculum and facility to create a high performance, healthy and happy place to learn. The morning will conclude with a presentation from Dr. Larry Schweinhart on the lessons learned from one of the most referenced studies to date on the power of a preschool education and why getting the environment right matters.

Announcing the 2014 Early Childhood Education Design Conference!

After two highly successful ECE Design Conferences in 2012 and 2013, we are pleased to announce the 2014 ECE Design Conference.  Save the date Friday, October 24, 2014, Auraria Campus, Denver, Colorado.  Additional speakers and planned events will be announced shortly.

The annual ECE Design Conference has engaged hundreds of researchers, planners, designers, developers, facility operators and thought leaders from around the globe in advancing early childhood design practices.  Currently the only major conference focused on ECE design research and best practices, this event hosts a one of a kind forum for the leaders that help shape ECE environments.  In past conferences, expert speakers have addressed ECE topics ranging from neuroscience and the early learner, nature based learning, sustainability, special needs, cognition and movement and safety and security.
